I was responsible for creating the concept, organising and moderating the first ice-hole pitching event in Estonia. The new concept was designed to fit suitably to the official afterparty of the biggest startup conference in Estonia – the sTARTUp Day festival. To make it convenient for participants to enjoy the event, startups were invited to pitch in a cold tub filled with ice, and brought on a stage, inside the party venue.
At the same time, investors (the jury) were sitting in a hot tub that was modified to heat up during the event – this symbolized the hot investment climate together with ice-cold startup investments. The event attracted more than 1000 people to cheer for startups and got significant media attention getting covered in two of the main tv channels in Estonia as well as other media outlets making it one of the most spoken startup events in Estonia.
